What?
Kid Licks is an edible nail polish, made by parents Audrey Amara and Josh Kroot.
This was launched at the market for the safety of little kids. Little kids (often girls) love to play with their mothers make-up. There’s nothing wrong with that should you think, but think again.. This (ordinary) make up includes preservatives / chemical additives which are poison and absolutely not edible.
Kid Licks is made of organic fruits, vegetables and plants. Further more is this nail polish based on acacia and corn starch. But the product is just an ordinary nail polish, it dry’s as soon as and looks like normal nail polish. You also use Kid Licks in the same way as a normal nail polish. The only difference is that this nail polish disappears with water, this makes the nail polish edible for kids. Kid Licks comes in three different natural collars and flavors. And is only available in de USA, since October 2015.
Why?
Kid Licks is made for kids who love to eat and play with a lot of things, and of course love to look gorgeous! And for parents that want safety for their kids while they are playing. The costumers of the product (the parents) are focused on functionality and aesthetics. The fact that this concept is completely new, crazy innovative and provides for needs I didn't even know existed makes it attractive for me. And I guess this product attracts a lot of people for the same reason. The whole trend of how crazier things get the more they succeed is absolutely responsible for the fame of Kid Licks. I personally think Kid Licks has a future for a particular audience, for adults with young kinds (often girls). I don’t think this product is successful by an other audience, because I don’t think teenagers or adults want to eat their nail polish of want that their nail polish disappears by touching water. Kid Licks will open a new market for edible cosmetics!
